Moss Landing
Salmon Fishing
Met Arnold, Ken Jang, Ray Yee, David Chao at my house
at for our Salmon Trip to Moss Landing at 2:30am. We arrived at Moss
Landing a little after 4:30am and were in the water and trolling by 5am
5-6 miles out from the smoke stacks. Arnold landed the first fish with
a Green Apex trolling at 50 feet (Boy was he Happy, his first Salmon).
The bite was kind of slow. Got a call from Khanh on the Carole C saying
that nets were flying and the fish were bigger where he was, so we picked
up and headed a mile or so south till we ran into the fleet. There we spent
the rest of the morning trolling in and out of the fleet, I landed our
2nd and 3rd fish on a Watermelon and Silver Apex (one was a shaker, threw
back for another day). Arnold landed his 2nd fish again on the Green Apex.
Our last fish came at 10:30am on the Silver Apex again and we worked for
that one!!! All fish were caught between 30 and 40 feet on a Deep Six and
Down Rigger.Out there were Fish-N-Chips, Sea-Lark, Megabite, DA, Carole-C,
Young Andy and thier crews. We all worked as a team out here today and
the weather was great, the water was a flat calm and most of us limited
by 10:30am. Alot of Commercial Stick boats and private boaters. Was great
seeing everyone out there.Forgot to bring my camera on this trip!!!!
