Saturday (Fleet Week)
Marin Coast - Dux/Rocky point Salmon

Well, decided to do it again (2nd Day in a row). John and his brother Ben arrived at my house 5:30am to do more salmon fishing. This is the last month before the season closes and last day before the seas come up and get nasty again. Fueled up the boat again and launched out of Oyster Point by am. We arrived at the same area 7am we fished the day before and started trolling. We started getting hits almost immediately. Alot of undersize salmon were just mauling our bait. We threw back quite a few dinks. This was Ben's first salmon trip and he was having a blast. These fish were jumpers and feisty as heck, especially the females. Ken (Fishy) was out there again with Ben in his boat and they were doing the same. Our last fish came on a double hook up on my pole and John's pole. We had limits for 3 people and we were done at 9:30am. Ben had the biggest fish at 20 pounds. Since it was still early we decided to try for rock cod at Duxbury reef. I didn't know the area too well and we kept snagging bottom. We said the heck with it, we had the fish we came for and called it a day. All fish we caught today were quality fish, and really nice color. Lures used Apex Watermelon, Clear RSK and Clear 1 eyed Jack all at 30-40 pulls on deep sixes. Great day on the water with good friends. We came through the bay with the same results as the day before, alot of boaters and big wakes for the air show.
